on the East side of mobile bay
Bayfront Park  |  Wind: S, SW, W, NW   |   Flat water
6200 Bayfront Park Dr, Daphne, AL 36526
This spot is a hidden gem. Park and look for the gazebo, to its left, you will see a boardwalk that ventures into the forest, walk on it and keep on your right, eventually you will have to turn right and you will see the beach. Plenty of space to launch.
North Beach Park   |   Wind: SW, W, NW, N   |   Light choppy water
4 N Beach Rd, Fairhope, AL 36532
We love this spot because the park is beautiful, the beach is right next to the parking spaces, so no walking. Watch out for the posts in the water, they are there to prevent boats coming to close to the shore.
On the west side of Mobile Bay
Isle Dauphine Golf Club   | Wind: E, SE, S, SW, W   |   Super flat water
100 Orleans Dr, Dauphin Island, AL 36528
Love this little beach, it is almost like a lagoon with a little outlet to the ocean so you can be safe inside or have your fun in the waves on the gulf side. Enter to the golf course, park by Pirates Bar and Grill (we love this place for after kite lunch/dinner) and you will see the little boardwalk that leads you to the beach. It can get crowded in the summer weekends.
On the Gulf of mexico
Childress Point, Little Lagoon   |   Wind: SE, S, SW   |   Flat water
13900 AL-180, Gulf Shores, AL 36542
Park at Jeff Friend Trail, walk towards the Kayak Launch and you will find the beach, walk to the right and there is just enough sand to pump and launch!
Big Sabine, Lagoon Side   |   Wind:  W, NW, N, NE, E   |   Flat water
Near FL-399, Pensacola Beach, FL 32561
Really cool spot! Park along the road and chose from ocean side or bay side.
Orange Beach, gulf side   |   Wind: SE, S, SW   |   Open water
Just as any other spot along the gulf, but orange beach has beautiful white sand beaches!
Fort Morgan, bay side   |   Wind: NW, N, NE   |    Light choppy water
Johnsons Beach, bay side   |   Wind: NW, N, NE, E   |   Light choppy water
